In-Mould Labeling (IML) is a process in which labels are placed directly into the mold or die during the injection molding process before the plastic is injected. This ensures that the label and the packaging melt together, resulting in a smooth end product.
Advantages:
- Durability: Because the label is integrated into the plastic during the injection molding process, it is resistant to wear, scratches, and fading. This ensures that the bucket retains its professional appearance for a long time.
- Design flexibility: IML offers great design freedom. You can place colorful images, complex logos, and detailed text on buckets.
- Efficiency: The In-Mould Labeling process is efficient because you do not have to label your product afterwards.
- 100% recyclable: Unlike labels, both the label and the packaging are made of polypropylene (PP), making this 100% recyclable.
Disadvantages:
- Beperkingen in materiaalkeuze: Niet alle soorten plastic zijn geschikt voor In-Mould Labeling. Het proces werkt het beste met polypropyleen (PP). Hierdoor is IML perfect mogelijk bij onze plastic buckets en onze grease tubes.
